There are three critical points are considered first it is clear that state sponsorship remains an important factor in international terrorism. Second if human geography is considered as it most definitely should be clearly is a geographical aspect to the problem of Islamist terrorism. Third there is the all too obvious point that Islamist terrorism is an acute problem in the Persian Gulf region and therefore threatens the ability of states worldwide to obtain oil at reasonable prices.
