Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei have not experienced similar problems. However the possibility of terrorist attacks group Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) still remains. Malaysia has been keeping a wary eye on the borders of Southern Thailand for the fear that the insurgency there may spread. The armed forces of Singapore and Malaysia have been developing along conventional lines. Brunei has not made any significant development of its armed forces though its military carries out yearly exercises with Singapore and the US navy. | ||
