It finds that while UNESCO recognizes the value of indigenous knowledge in adapting to climate change, its integration into heritage assessments remains limited and inconsistent. The paper argues that a more meaningful and effective inclusion of indigenous knowledge requires a shift assessment methodologies to better respect its systems, governance and rights. | ||
