The essay concludes with a discussion of China's path-dependent cyclical future evolution. According to scarcity theory, a compensatory drive for scarce values may hence be expected to arise with the 6th generation. The socialization theory: the CCP leadership may be expected not only to reflect the needs of the next generation but to try to control and to mold it.
