But the June 2019 suicide attack that targeted an Armed Forces of the Philippines' (AFP) military camp in Indanan town in Sulu province, Mindanao (marked the first known suicide bombing involving a Filipino Islamist terrorist in recent times) could affect the security landscape in the country and wider region.
