520 _aThere are three sections in this paper. First the major arguments of the dynamic balancing model by integrating balance of power and balance of threat theories. Second, the dynamic balancing model by exploring China's balancing strategies towards the US from 1949 to 2005. Third the dynamic balacing model suggests the future of Sino-American relations depends on the strategic interactions and mutual threat perceptions between two states. The dynamic balacing model argues that a state's balacing balacing model argues that state's balancing strategy depends on two perceptual factors : perceptions of the distribution of power in the system and leaders threat perceptions.
