Introductory chapters provide an overview of electoral systems and how they work, also why there are different approaches and why there are not more of them. The bulk of the book describes the electoral systems of 25 countries. These are presented in the four main categories of voting systems. Appendices, glossary, list of relevant web-sites, index. First published in hardback in 2005, this edition contains a new preface and corrects some minor errors, otherwise the text is unchanged.
