An annotated bibliography containing 851 references written between 1965 and 1987 which examine the immediate effects of the Vietnam war on those who were there; the post-war effect on veterans; and also the social and institutional context both during and after the war which also affected individuals' psychological welfare - for example, attitudes of the public and war protests. Three main sections as outlined above; Part 1 Vietnam Service; Part 2 Veteran Adaptation; Part 3 Social and Institutional Context. Sections are further sub-divided by particular aspects, for example, combat theatre stress under Vietnam Service. Also contains an author index.
