<br/><br/> Taiwan is increasingly distancing itself from diplomat attachments to the China appelation.  Taiwan's fleet acquisitions are constrained by funding and complex diplomatic relations.  A late 2006 national defence report from Taiwan's ministry of national defence claiming that vessels and aircraft from the PRC had made 1,700 incursions into Taiwanese waters and airspace.
