Islamophobia in America?: September 11 and Islamophobic hate crime /
Jeffrey Kaplan
- 2006
Study of the rise, short duration, and rapid fall of hate crimes perpetrated in the USA against Muslims or those perceived to be Muslim following the 9-11 terror attacks. Considers the reasons why these attacks took place mainly in a nine week period after 9-11; and compares the current situation to the treatment of Japanese Americans following Pearl Harbor in the Second World War, and the anti-communist Red Scare of the 1950s.
