One policy for China : avoiding conflict with the mainland / Jeffrey Harley - 2008

The United States policy towards China and Taiwan has in broad terms been fairly consistent, but details have been lacking giving rise to ambiguous interpretations. Relations between China and Taiwan are changing as a result of economic and political developments. This paper calls for the U.S. to amend its policies to take account of these changes while also restating expectations of a peaceful solution to cross Taiwan Strait tensions.
