<br/><br/> This article examined stigma with regard to career concerns among active duty members of the air force with children who have psychiatric disorders.  The stigma associated with psychiatric disorders may interfere with individual's integration into society exacerbate depression and low self-esteem as well as decrease feelings of empowerment and recovery orientation.
