N2  - Recently announced American arms sale to Taiwan.  The US department of defence told the congress in November 2007, that the administration had agree to sell US $940 million (NT$30 billion) worth of patriot missile system upgrades to Taiwan.  Taiwanese military already possesses the enhanced PAC-2 patriot missiles but still eager to pursue the acquisition of PAC -3 missiles.  Could the PAC-3 often so highly regarded, effectively defend the Taiwan island?
