COVERAGE AND ARRANGEMENT: Part 1 Capabilities, Trends and Economics. Entries arranged alphabetically by country within main world regions. Each region is prefaced with a descriptive account of major military events of the previous year. Country entries give defence budgets, force breakdowns with men and equipment, reserves, and deployments. Each section concludes with tables of arms orders and deliveries. Past 1 chapter 9 lists UN and other deployments in 2006-2007, comparative defence expenditures and military manpower, and arms deliveries. Chapter 10 is a stand alone article entitled Complex irregular warfare - the psychological component. Part 2 Non-state Armed Groups has tables with brief details of recent activities and the groups themselves. Part 3 Reference has tables of aircraft designations, lists of abbreviations and indexes. A separate poster-sized chart of conflict gives details of past and on-going conflicts with supporting data e.g. fatalities, peace support operations, top U.N. troop contributing countries, and selected foreign military interventions.
