<br/><br/> Using regression analysis this article considers the reasons for the increased lethality of modern terrorism and the more widespread use of suicide bombing. Questions the assumption that religion, especially Islamic fundamentalism, is the underlying cause and concludes that various groups (religious, nationalist and secular) are increasingly using suicide terror as a tactic.
