<br/><br/> Study of India's changing relations with ASEAN which have been influenced first by the collapse of the USSR and the ending of the Cold War, and more recently by China's economic development and expanding regional involvement. As India too rises to international prominence relations between China and India may be strained as each seeks to gain influence with ASEAN to counter the other. The paper concludes by considering the effect of the "ASEAN way" on regional stability.
