CALLAND V

A brief overview of personal safety at incident sites / V Calland - 2006

Short guide for first responders to emergencies intended to prevent the responder becoming part of the problem. Outlines three different types of emergency: motor vehicle crashes, railway incidents, and water incidents. Notes that occasional responders are more at risk than trained emergency service workers, and that good general knowledge and a practical understanding of how things work would be advantageous for the first responder.
