Applies economic methodology with political analysis to the study of domestic and international terrorism. After considering the dilemma of liberal democracies (that liberalism makes terrorism possible) the book considers statistical studies in relation to terrorism, then goes into more specific contexts such as counterterrorism, hostage taking and hijacking, transference, international cooperation, and homeland security.
