This issue of the journal is devoted to disasters and what to do about them. The main sections are: prevention, mitigation and preparedness; relief and response; commentaries on recovery and reconstruction. There are also a photo-essay on the aftermath of the October 2005 earthquake in Pakistan and India, and an article on the famine in Zimbabwe.
