Each volume is self-contained having the same introductory and concluding chapters with different case studies: Volume 1 examines conflicts (or the lack of them) in various African countries including Burundi, Congo, Nigeria, Kenya, Mozambique, Sudan, Algeria, Senegal and Mali.
