Philippines captures rebel leader - 2005

The Raja Sulaiman movement (RSM) remains a threat to security in the Philippines despite the capture of its leader. Some analysts claim that RSM rebels could be more dangerous than other Islamist terrorist, because as converts from christianity they want to demonstrate they are worthy of being muslim. Nevertheless , Philippine analysts point out that RSM's intimate relationship with ASG, and ASG support for it will act to hold the group together.
