<br/><br/> The article looks at the security challenges facing Papua New Guinea (PNG) that have grown in the last few decades, in particular the threat of climate change to national security.  The security problems facing PNG are largely relevant because of their impact on the economic well-being of the country's citizens — a relationship that must be accounted for in security arrangements with partners such as Australia and the United States.
