Discussion of the likley future of nuclear weapons in Europe. Although large scale reductions in numbers have taken place since the end of the Cold War Britain and France still retain independent nucelar capabilities. This paper argues that nuclear wepaons in Europe remain valuable but some problems remain if the transatlantic concensus on nuclear deterrence is to be maintained.
