Career development, job rotation, and professional performance

In the armed forces of developed countries widespread job rotation is taken for granted and the possibilities of adverse effects are rarely considered . This article reports on a study undertaken among Australian Defence Force personnel that found there are significant disadvantages with job rotation as currently implemented and recommends the practice be reassessed.
