Antennas are vital components in wireless systems that directly aff ect their performance. Novel and innovative solutions in antenna design are required for reliable performance and to reduce complexities and diffi culties in system integration across a diverse range of devices and platforms. The Call for Papers for this Feature Topic (FT) attracted a good number of submissions from all over the world. All submissions received at least three reviews, and the accepted papers went through at least one round of revision. The FT articles in this issue highlight current research and development (R&D) trends and findings in the design and applications of antennas for 5G and B5G wireless communications, as well as all aspects of integration techniques of these antenna systems into future networks. The articles highlight and open the door for more novel research in antenna system design and development for B5G.
