<br/><br/> This paper extends some of the arguments to understand the status of UNMOGIP based on the views of elites and opinion makers from India and Pakistan. Through an empirical analysis, this paper highlights the starkly differing perceptions of practitioners and intellectuals in India and in Pakistan towards UNMOGIP and challenges to its mandate.
