<br/><br/> In the three years since President Trump became President of the United States, the Asia-Pacific region has witnessed a series of disruptive events in both the economic and security domains, many of which have not been inevitable. However they have simply added to underlying long-term trends and problems in the region of the world that is the largest, in terms of both population and economic output. In addition, this already important region is set to become even more prominent in the near future.
