<br/><br/> The article looks at the impact on the ties between the United States and Australia from its economic relations with China. The author examines the topic based on three arguments; power transition theory from a post-Cold War environment, Australia's deeper economic and commercial ties with China and finally how the ties generated a degree of alliance drift between the two countries.
