Under the 11th Malaysian Plan of 2016-2020, Malaysia is to expect realistic procurement goal as highlighted by Malaysian defence minister Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, where purchases are only to be made according to the nation's security needs. Proposal on the upgrade of several systems and their service life extension is also covered in the article; the proposal extends to a new training ship for RMN trainees. In addition, Malaysia Future procurement would be based on Malaysian Armed Forces' Fourth Dimension Development Plan (4D MAF).
