The Philippines is expected to continue its programme to acquire siginificant new defence capabilities. In 2014 these already cover helicopters, lead-in fighter trainer aircraft, sealift vessels, and artillery. This report says frigates, amphibious vehicles, and air surveillance radar are also anticipated in the near future.
