Therefore more attention is being given to ways of dealing with the results of greenhouse gases. The two main ideas are a) removing excess carbon dioxide from the air, and b) blocking of solar radiation. The first option is, so far, prohibitively expensive, whereas the second option is known to work (based on measurable temperature reduction impact of volcanic eruptions) but may have severe environmental impact.
