Military command and control systems rely on global positioning and geospatial information. This article looks at some of the systems available or in development and the limitations or constraints on their use e.g. GPS is a US military service which in time of conflict could be made inactive in some geographical areas. NB The article does not mention the European Galileo system which will provide greater accuracy than GPS and will be available to all.
