<br/><br/> Analysis of the impact of Hurricane Katrina (August 2005) on the American states of Alabama, Lousiana and Mississippi. Found that the area that experienced the worst damage became an area of low income and economic growth whereas areas around the edge of the disaster where there was little or no damage experienced high income growth. Suggests that these short term changes may have long term effects.
