Since the end of the cold war, compromise has become more critical for continuing the U S led alliances in the Asia pacific as the new security environment generates new outlooks on exisiting alliance arrangements. The U.S has been assisting the Philippines in the efforts against domestic terrorist and insurgent related problems.
