Takes a look at Burma's political scene in which the Burmese military government has issued five laws on March 8, 2010 that provided a framework for elections which are likely to be held in late 2010. While the possibility of a boycott by opposition activists and politicians is high, others are preparing to participate in the first opportunity to vote since 1990. This also takes a look at other factors surrounding it that may influence the elections.
