Describes various means by which governments can make defence procurements. These range from straight forward purchase to local development and production. Within these extremes there are several other arrangements which are intended to bring benefits to the economics of both the buyer and the seller governments. These are co-production, licensed production, direct offset and indirect offset. This book explains each to these concepts, then goes on to look at the offset experiences of a variety of countries including Saudi Arabia, France, Britain, Japan, USA etc.
