<br/><br/> Attempts to provide an overview of the regional maritime situation in Southeast Asia in relation to neighbouring regional powers, China and India.  Navies of the Southeast Asia countries are seeking to acquire surface vessels up to and including amphibious platforms, but it is their efforts to procure submarines that will be of particular interest to China and India.  This article also talks about the Vietnamese Kilos, Malaysian NGPVs and Indonesian corvettes.
