<br/><br/> This article shows that there are significant similarities between peacekeeping and counterinsurgency and the concepts seem to be converging. Based on a comparative study of two important documents - the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations capstone doctrine and the US Army Counterinsurgency Field Manual. Identifies six areas of similarity and suggests where the two doctrines could be more closely aligned.
