Hermann Goring - Rev ed - London: New English Library Ltd, 1968 - 283p.

A biography of Hermann Goring, founder of the Gestapo, Marshall of the Luftwaffe, which looks at the life and career of a Nazi leader who later became Hitler's deputy in the Third Reich. During World War 2 he lost favour with Hitler as a result of the poor showing of the Luftwaffe in the Battle of Britain and subsequent bombing raids on British ports and cities. He was sentenced to death by Hitler but escaped only to be captured by US troops and tried for war crimes at Nuremberg. He was convicted but committed suicide in his cell in 1946.
