Reports on the current effort of both United States and South Korea in negotiating ways to urge North Korea to abandon its nuclear programme. Both presidents of the US and South Korea have met to discuss regional security issues in Northeast Asia and have agreed to a "joint vision" for the US-South Korean alliance in an effort to stabilise the region's security.
