An introduction to nuclear strategy and small nuclear powers: using North Korea as a case/ Carmel Davis - 2009

This article analyzes the kinds of nuclear duels in which small nuclear powers might engage. These are the politically purposive strategies available to conduct a nuclear duel. North Korea is used because it is the focus of negotiations to abandon its nuclear program. India, Israel, North Korea and Pakistan use nuclear weapons for deterrence. Possession of nuclear weapons by potential adversaries has been a major focus of international politics in the 21st century.
