Story of Captain Hugh Pilkington, British Territorial Army and former Malayan rubber planter, and his experiences in the Second World War. Shot by a sniper in Malaya, survivied the Alexandra Hospital Massacre, was a Japanese prisoner of war first in Changi then as forced labour on the Burma railway. Pilkington wrote his memoirs on a repatriation ship returning to England after the war in 1945.
