<br/><br/> Pakistan is concerned about a strong Afghanistan and is trying to maintain links with the Taliban as a means of influencing Kabul if and when American coalition forces pull out. As a result Taliban insurgents are spreading more widely in Pakistan. Urges a change in U.S. policy towards Pakistan and clarity about what America expects Pakistan to do.
