Australia to exit BAMS project, buy F/A-18F upgrade /

Australia's F/A18-F Super Hornets are to be configured for electronic attack capabilities thus opening the potential for later upgrade to full 'Growler' functionality. However Australia will not continue to participate in the unmanned broad areas surveillance programme. For more info on BAMS see Flight International 3-9 March 2009.
