<br/><br/> Taiwan's MND plans to make the island's military a fully volunteer force by 2015.  Taiwan has 45,000 personnel serving in its air force, 45,000 in the navy, and estimated 190,000 in the army and a total reserve force over1.6million.  Ministry of National Defence slashing the number of personnel serving in the island's armed forces by almost 100,000 over the next 5 years.
