<br/><br/> Heavy fighting between Pakistani forces and Islamic militants has ended a five month peace deal in the Swat valley.  Defence official in Islamabad said it was unlikely that the US would immediately provide Pakistani's army with sophisticated new technology unless there was evidence of a far more determined effort to stop the flow of militants.
