<br/><br/> Recent efforts aimed at curbing maritime piracy in Southeast Asia have coincided with a reduction in incidents. This article by a US Navy Lt Commander looks at the actions that have been taken including regional cooperation and capacity building, then identifies three challenges to maintaining the momentum. Concludes that continued vigilance is required as the threat has not gone away.
