Report of a study conducted among students at the US Army Airborne School to identify factors likely to affect risk of injury while parachuting and to discover attitudes to the parachute ankle brace (PAB). Negative risk factors are age, weight, height, fitness, and non-use of PAB. As a result of responses to the survey the design of the PAB is being changed.
