This book makes a persuasive case that despite public statements to the contrary for thirty years governments and administrations in Britain, Europe, and especially the USA were not only aware of Pakistan's nuclear programme but in the case of the U.S. helping to finance itthrough massive foreign aid to Pakistan. Furthermore these administrations then turned a blind eye when Pakistan's military began to sell the technology thus proliferating nuclear capabilities that, according to the authors, will probably result in the use of nuclear weapons in a conflict in the not too distant future.
