This paper will examine the critical contribution logistics makes to coalition operations and raise some strategic logistic issues arising from the Timor experience that require further consideration by the Australian Defence Organization (ADO). This paper will discuss issues from Australian coalition operations in East Timor offering observations on areas that have not been reflected in the logistic lessons. The paper will generally concentrate on aspects of land logistics.
